Job summary

RTCA is a precision aerospace and defense manufacturer with 50+ years of experience. The Machinist I-III will perform machine setups, select tooling, load programs, and ensure parts meet engineering and quality specs at our Fife, WA site.

Onsite, with shift differentials for off shifts. You will operate multiple machines, read blueprints, and collaborate with Quality and Engineering to drive continuous improvement and safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Experience with multi-axis machining equipment, including 4-axis and 5-axis machines.
• Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or Siemens.
• Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or ESPRIT.
• Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards and in-process inspection techniques.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Basic CNC programming or G-code editing experience.
• Experience troubleshooting tooling, machining, or process-related issues.
• Experience mentoring or training operators or machinists.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up multiple machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, travelers, and engineering drawings.
• Follow safety, quality, and aerospace manufacturing procedures.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify part conformance and document results.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations to meet production goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
