Job summary

Capgemini Engineering seeks a Verification and Validation (Hardware) Engineer/Technician to join its Aerospace Engineering team. You will develop and execute Python-based validation scripts to test low-level hardware interfaces and embedded systems in a lab setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of hardware validation, testing, or automation with basic Python scripting.
• Hands-on board-level debugging and hardware troubleshooting with knowledge of UART, RS-422/485, SPI, I2C, GPIO, Ethernet, CAN.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, power supplies, and signal generators.
• Ability to create test plans, execute tests, and analyze results; knowledge of Git and software development practices.
• Knowledge of aerospace or safety-critical standards such as DO-178C is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute Python-based hardware validation scripts for embedded systems.
• Perform board-level and interface-level testing of hardware.
• Translate hardware requirements into test procedures and pass/fail criteria.
• Validate and troubleshoot interfaces including UART, RS-422/485, SPI, I2C, GPIO, Ethernet, CAN.
• Use lab equipment and diagnose hardware, firmware, script, and setup issues.
• Maintain test documentation, traceability, and execution reports; drive issue resolution.
