Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Verification and Validation Engineer for avionics in Deer Valley, AZ. The role focuses on developing Python-driven validation scripts for board and interface testing, translating hardware requirements into executable tests, and ensuring traceability and robust scripting practices.

You will work hands-on with UART/SR-422/RS-485, SPI, I2C, GPIO, Ethernet/CAN, and use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and DMMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and debug Python-based hardware validation scripts for board-level and interface-level testing.
• Translate hardware requirements into executable test procedures and pass/fail criteria.
• Hands-on with interfaces like UART/RS-422/RS-485, SPI, I2C, GPIO, Ethernet/CAN as relevant.
• Write maintainable, modular Python with logging, retries/timeouts, and robust error handling; use Git and CI workflows.
• Maintain requirement-to-test traceability and test evidence (logs, captures, summaries).
• Own test development from test design through lab execution and closure; improve script reliability and throughput.
