Job summary

Crescent Systems, Inc. (CSI) is a leading aerospace technology firm seeking a Hardware Qualification Engineer to test LRUs and validate requirements across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.

You will write qualification tests and reports, support cradle-to-grave product testing, and collaborate with a cross-disciplinary hardware team. The role requires a BS in relevant engineering disciplines, strong technical writing, and the ability to obtain security clearance for government

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or equivalent
• Possess technical writing proficiency
• Strong organizational skills & knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Cross-disciplinary engineering interest
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment; prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result; prioritize multiple responsibilities as directed and/or accomplish them simultaneously; and comprehend/analyze problems and develop solutions
• Ability to write and execute qualification test plans and reports based on relevant customer and industry requirements
• Ability to objectively determine detailed failure modes, identify probable root causes for the failure, and validate that hypothesis through testing
• Ability to interpret schematics to understand the design and then craft test cases to ensure the LRU is built according to the drawings and to prove functional requirements are met

Responsibilities

• Perform LRU box-level and module-level testing in aerospace/defense contexts
• Write hardware qualification test documents and qualification reports
• Conduct validation and verification activities for LRUs
• Support cradle-to-grave product test activities across hardware teams
• Evaluate testability of requirements during definition and planning
