Job summary

CAE USA in Charleston, SC, is seeking an engineer to lead the development and deployment of modifications to training support devices. You will implement, test, and document hardware baseline changes, install and maintain training equipment, and provide diagnostics and ongoing support.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, and the ability to communicate technically. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline and 5+ years of experience in an appropriate engineering discipline.
  • Experience in aviation or aviation related simulation systems hardware design/modification highly desired.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word.
  • Proficient in creating and modifying drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Able to deliver oral presentations to management and customers.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be willing to work any shift or day as required.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and deploys modifications to training support devices.
  • Provides analysis related to hardware design, development, and implementation.
  • Installs, configures, and maintains training equipment, including site preparation.
  • Performs diagnostics and ongoing support for training devices and systems.
  • Develops hardware technical specifications, manuals, and drawings for modifications.
  • Performs design work and prepares preliminary and detailed designs for enhancements.
  • Drafts hardware drawings using industry standard drafting software.
