Hydrogen Group is seeking a GSE Combination Welder for a confidential aerospace/space tech client. The role covers fabrication, assembly and modification of ground support equipment and flight-grade stainless steel components at Briggs, TX, just north of Austin.

You will interpret drawings, perform MIG, TIG and stick welding, and collaborate with engineering, design and operations to meet quality standards.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years welding experience.
• Hands-on experience with MIG, TIG, stick, and flux-core welding.
• Background in both structural and pipe welding.
• Understanding of heat input and distortion control during welding.
• Familiarity with fabrication shop practices (layout, drilling, sawing, grinding).
• Experience operating forklifts/cranes; lifting and rigging preferred.
• Availability for overtime and weekends.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in confined or restricted spaces.

Mansioni

• Complete welding and fabrication assignments per procedures and specs.
• Weld aluminum and steel structures, piping, and assemblies using TIG, MIG, and stick welding.
• Interpret blueprints and drawings to plan layouts and welds to spec.
• Review piping and instrumentation diagrams and related docs for installation, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Install and modify tubing, piping, and conduit for fluid systems and upgrades.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and identify issues.
• Conduct safety inspections and operate equipment such as forklifts and boom lifts.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and contribute to site improvements.
• Travel to launch facilities as needed to support projects.
