Job summary

GuideTech, a subsidiary of Palladyne AI, seeks a Director of Business Development to drive growth across our portfolio of engineering services, intelligent software, avionics, and autonomous aerospace products.

This hands-on leadership role requires building a robust pipeline, managing complex opportunities from outreach to contract awards, and communicating technical value to engineers, procurement teams, and executives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business development, technical sales, or strategic partnerships.
• Experience selling technical products and services in aerospace/defense.
• Proven ability to manage complex sales from outreach to contract award.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• Ability to understand aerospace technologies and communicate value to engineers and executives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute BD strategies across aerospace, defense, autonomy, and government markets.
• Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and events.
• Lead opportunities from initial engagement through proposal, pricing, and contract award.
• Maintain CRM data, forecasting, and pipeline metrics.
• Represent GuideTech at meetings, demonstrations, and industry events.
• Capture market insights to shape future products and strategy.
