Qarbon Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Government Cost Accountant to manage cost accounting activities on government contracts, including EAC analysis, cost pool management, and CAS/FAR/DFARS compliance.

You will partner with program management, contracts, and operations to ensure accurate cost recognition and reporting. The role emphasizes EAC preparation, indirect rate development, and audit support, with a focus on ITAR guidelines and enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• US citizen or permanent resident as per ITAR requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–7+ years of government contract cost accounting in aerospace/defense.
• Working knowledge of DCAA, CAS, FAR/DFARS and EAC methods.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint or SAP; strong Excel/financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly EACs across contracts/programs with actuals, ETC, and risk assessments.
• Support EAC reviews with Program Managers, Finance, and Ops leadership.
• Maintain CAS, FAR Part 31, and DFARS compliance; assist audits and disclosure statements.
• Perform indirect rate development, cost pool allocations, and variance analysis.
• Ensure cost accumulation by CLIN/WBS; reconcile ERP/MRP to GL data.
• Assist with proposal cost volumes and forward pricing rate proposals.
• Monitor funding, ceilings, and cost overrun risk; support ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Support internal controls and SOX readiness; prepare for audits.
