Job summary

Safran Cabin in Everett, Washington, seeks a Furniture Lead Design Engineer to lead a team of engineers focused on aircraft interior products—closets, partitions, galleys, lavatories—with CAD tools and manufacturability in mind.

You will develop designs from concept through drawings, balance budgets, and ensure certification readiness while coordinating with Supply Chain and other functions. Strong aerospace furniture experience and BS in engineering are required.

Qualifications

• Education: BS Engineering/Science; Aeronautical or Mechanical acceptable.
• Minimum 10 years aerospace engineering experience; furniture design preferred.
• Proven leadership of design teams and complex retrofit programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead furniture design engineering team to meet specs and timelines.
• Develop and maintain 3D models, layouts, production details, and drawings.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain on lead times, costs, and tooling.
• Act as technical authority for programs and design activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive process improvements.
