Job summary

LifePort seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the design and development of aircraft interior cabinetry and galley systems in Woodland, WA. You will guide the development engineering team and partner with other functions to deliver on time, safe and compliant solutions.

Ideal candidates have strong technical leadership and experience in aircraft interiors or complex cabinetry from concept to production, with a proven ability to manage budgets and cross-functional programs.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (ABET).
• 10+ years related experience in engineering.
• 4+ years leading design/certification teams.
• Experience with FAA/military certification and interiors projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of aircraft interior cabinetry and galley systems.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and designers.
• Ensure designs meet safety, weight, manufacturability, cost and schedule targets.
• Ensure compliance with FAA and MIL testing standards and certification processes.
• Collaborate with Program Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Certification, Supply Chain and customers.
• Forecast operating costs and support department budgeting.
