Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time with Active Clearance Reception in Salt Lake City, UT. You will greet visitors, manage access, verify credentials, and support a secure environment at a front desk in an aerospace/defense site.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance and at least one year of security experience, plus a high school diploma. You’ll join a team known for customer service, integrity, and professional teamwork, with reliable shifts and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a front desk within an aerospace and defense location.
• Manage visitor access by greeting guests, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate entry records per site policies.
• Monitor access-control systems, alarms, cameras, and/or communications equipment; report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally per emergency procedures.
• Support a professional lobby environment by answering phones, directing visitors, maintaining logs, and communicating security concerns to site leadership.
