Allied Universal in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer with a DoD Secret clearance. The role focuses on welcoming visitors, managing access, and maintaining a safe environment within an aerospace and defense site.

You will work a part-time schedule and use our platform to explore additional shifts. The position requires prior security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and an active clearance.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Age 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a front desk within an aerospace and defense location by following site-specific security-related procedures and access protocols.
• Manage visitor reception activities, including greeting guests, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing visitors in accordance with site policies.
• Monitor access points and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery records while helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Communicate promptly with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding security-related concerns, unusual activity, access issues, and visitor matters.
