Job summary

Allied Universal® in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer with required DoD Clearance Arrival Processing. You will be the welcoming front‑desk presence, manage access control, verify credentials, and ensure visitor logs are accurate at an aerospace/defense location.

Key duties include greeting visitors, screening identities, monitoring communications, and responding to incidents per site procedures.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies at an aerospace and defense location.
• Staff the front desk by greeting and screening visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor logs.
• Monitor incoming calls, emails, alarms, and other communications; direct inquiries to appropriate personnel and elevate concerns according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response protocols.
• Maintain awareness of front-desk activity and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.
