Job summary

RTX’s Collins Aerospace internship program in Melbourne, Florida invites students pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering to join our FPGA/Avionics projects onsite. You will develop FPGA interfaces, write firmware, simulate designs, and create test scripts under experienced engineers.

A minimum of 60 credits must be completed by start date, and U.S. person status is required.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• Must have a minimum of 60 credit hours completed by the start of the internship
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Participate in projects to develop and integrate FPGA interfaces for Avionics applications.
• Design FPGA firmware under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Analyze and simulate designs to meet project requirements.
• Perform code entry, synthesis, simulation, and on-target testing.
• Write test scripts and FPGA design documents.
• Debug products using tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
