Job summary

Pratt & Whitney’s Columbus Forge team is seeking a Forge Team Member to operate forging equipment, inspect parts, and ensure highest safety and quality standards for aerospace components.

The role involves setting up presses, reading blueprints, and maintaining production flow during weekend night shifts (Fri-Sun, 7:00 pm–7:00 am). Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and manufacturing experience, preferably in heavy industry.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience reading blueprints and using calipers, micrometers, or gauges.
• Experience performing machine setups, tooling or die changes, and equipment adjustments.
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, metals, or heavy manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor forging presses and related equipment.
• Read work instructions, blueprints, and specifications to perform machine setups and produce parts within tolerances.
• Inspect and measure forged parts using precision measuring tools to verify quality.
• Install, adjust, and remove dies, fixtures, and tooling while monitoring equipment performance.
• Work safely and collaborate with teammates to maintain production flow and drive continuous improvement.
