Job summary

RTX's Columbus Forge team is seeking a Forge Team Member to operate and monitor forging presses, conduct quality inspections, and ensure parts meet safety and precision standards for aerospace components.

The role is a 3rd shift position: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 PM to 8:30 AM, onsite at our Macon, GA facility. High school diploma required; experience with blueprint reading and precision measuring tools preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools.
• Experience in aerospace or heavy manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor forging presses and related equipment to shape metal.
• Read work instructions, blueprints, and specifications to perform setups and meet tolerances.
• Inspect and measure forged parts to verify quality against standards.
• Install, adjust, and remove dies, fixtures, and tooling while monitoring equipment performance.
