Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Lead Flight Test Engineer to guide the development and execution of flight test strategies and plans for our Flight Test Fleet. You will design test methodologies, collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, and lead installation design for experimental tests across the fleet.

You will also mentor flight test engineers, report to the Flight Test Engineering Manager, and work on-site at the Engines Campus to ensure safety,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Engineering.
• Expert knowledge of flight test methodologies and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in leading and managing a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the development and execution of flight test strategies and plans.
• Design and implement test methodologies and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and specifications.
• Design Experimental Flight Test Installations for aircraft across the fleet.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to flight test engineers.
