Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Flight Inspector – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team onsite. The role ensures incoming material meets contractual, configuration, and documentation requirements before acceptance into production.

Candidates should have hands-on inspection experience, knowledge of AS9100 or SQAR environments, and the ability to generate and manage inspection records. US citizenship is required; the position offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 2–4 years related inspection experience preferred.
• Experience performing inspection for identity and dimensional conformance.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or equivalent aerospace/defense QMS requirements.
• Ability to make pass/fail decisions and maintain inspection records.
• Experience with documentation like COFC, test data, and lot traceability.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection on flight-critical hardware and components.
• Validate supplier documentation before material acceptance.
• Execute inspection per Quality Specifications, Instructions, and program requirements.
• Initiate and close inspection records in TIPQA; verify routing in Costpoint.
• Initiate NCRs and support MRB documentation for nonconforming material.
