Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace in Rome, NY is seeking an assembler-service technician for the 2nd shift to assemble, spray paint, dynamic balance and test complex components from blueprints and process books on onsite production lines.

You will use hand tools and measuring equipment, perform preprocessing duties, computer transactions, and move parts between work areas; a high school diploma and basic reading/writing skills are required; training on first shift is provided.

Qualifications

• Blueprint and routing reading and comprehension.
• Competent with hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Basic computer skills such as log on, data entry and retrieval.
• Obtain certifications and qualifications required to perform job.

Responsibilities

• Obtains stock, fixtures, tooling and gaging sprays parts.
• Performs pressure test and sandblasting functions.
• Performs assembly and balancer-related tasks.
• Performs in-process inspection as a certified operator.
• Performs prepackaging and computer transactions.
