Job summary

Magellan Aerospace in Haverhill, MA is seeking a Finance Manager to plan, direct, and control the accounting and control function of the division. You will report on operational results and provide chronological systems to support decision making. The salary range is $115,000–$135,000 annually with benefits in a leadership finance role.

Qualifications

• Sound administrative and management skills and ability to lead finance teams.
• Experience in budgeting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and administers plan for control of operations including profit planning, forecasts, budgets, and capital investing.
• Prepares reports and interprets results to management; formulates accounting policies and oversees financial statements.
• Forecasts cash requirements and ensures adequate funds.
• Safeguards assets via internal controls and auditing; manages insurance coverage.
• Oversees credit and collection terms and pricing policies with Programs.
• Provides essential financial information to other units for their responsibilities.
• Develops and implements a sound operational and organizational plan in support of the business plan.
• Keeps the Division Manager informed of performance and advises on financial matters.
• Executes cash disbursements following policies; monitors inventory variances to budget.
• Develops budgets, authorizes expenditures, and reviews performance appraisals with a focus on MBOs.
• Ensures effective communications within responsibilities and coordinates with other units.
• Recommends policy improvements; maintains emergency backup and succession planning.
• Drives productivity, cost reduction, and state-of-the-art practices; maintains high energy and organization.
