Job summary

Crane Aerospace and Electronics seeks a Field Service Engineer II for our Burbank, CA location. The role involves troubleshooting airline and OEM issues, delivering end-user training, and supporting new product EIS, with travel up to 45% as needed.

The position requires 2+ years in the field, knowledge of airline operations and regulatory requirements, and a BS/AS in engineering along with strong communication skills. FAA and ITAR considerations apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant work experience
• Knowledge of airline industry, airline products, airline support requirements, and regulatory requirements
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to use FRACAS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or Electronics OR AS + 10+ years experience

Responsibilities

• Respond to and troubleshoot inquiries from airline and OEM customers
• Develop and deliver training materials for end users (onsite and offsite)
• Conduct detailed failure analyses and prepare reports
• Participate in new product Entry into Service (EIS) programs
• Oversee on-wing tests and integration testing with feedback to design engineers
• Support flight safety investigations and prepare detailed reports
• Mentor internal resources
• Maintain knowledge of CFR, FAR, SFARs and related regulations
• Coordinate with agencies like FAA/NTSB/ICAO/EASA
