Job summary

Eaton’s IS AER FED division in Beltsville, MD is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Manager to plan, oversee facilities maintenance and lead capital projects at the site. The role requires strong leadership, five years in manufacturing, and a Bachelor's degree.

You will manage outside contractors, improve reliability, safety, and efficiency, and work to reduce operating costs while supporting energy and environmental programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years experience in a manufacturing facility with machine repair and general building maintenance.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience managing direct reports.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.; export control considerations apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop and supervise the day-to-day and long-term execution of facilities’ preventive and corrective maintenance plans to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop, coordinate, and lead implementation of facilities capital improvement projects.
• Plan, estimate costs, and oversee physical moves or rearrangement of machinery and equipment.
• Manage all activities related to building maintenance and Housekeeping assuring high standards.
• Plan, develop and implement new methods and procedures related to facilities maintenance to drive improvements, minimizing operating costs and reducing environmental impact.
• Determine jobs to be done by outside contractors and review bids; oversee progress and ensure quality and conformance with specifications.
• Design and implement equipment installation standards and administer electrical, pneumatic and thermal power distribution.
• Be responsible for technical evaluation and contract administration of maintenance service suppliers.
• Participate in energy or environmental programs to ensure compliance with government rules.
