Job summary

Ursa Major in Colorado is seeking an Aerospace Senior Facilities Carpenter to build and maintain offices, labs, and cleanrooms for rocket engine manufacturing and testing.

The role requires hands-on carpentry, experience with industrial spaces, and a safety-first approach. You will work with Engineering, Facilities, and EHS on capital projects, with on-site responsibilities across multiple worksites.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of progressive experience in commercial/industrial carpentry, facility construction, manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial construction methods, metal stud framing, drywall systems, doors and finishes.
• Experience reading architectural drawings and construction documents.
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with a team.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Experience with rigging, equipment moves, machinery installation, and safe operation of lifting equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Construct, modify, and maintain offices, laboratories, manufacturing spaces, cleanrooms, and related facilities.
• Install and modify framing, drywall, insulation, ceilings, and architectural finishes.
• Install doors, frames, hardware, windows, storefronts, and overhead doors.
• Design and install cabinetry, shelving, benches, and workstations.
• Build equipment platforms, mezzanines, and safety barriers to support manufacturing and testing.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Facilities, EHS, and contractors on projects.
