Zusammenfassung

Ursa Major is seeking an AM Facilities Technician to maintain and upgrade state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing equipment used in rocket propulsion systems. You will support engineering and R&D teams, implement layout changes, and uphold strict safety and cleanliness standards on the factory floor.

The role requires 1–3 years in high‑pace manufacturing facilities, hands‑on work, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. A valid driver’s license and drug testing are required.

Qualifikationen

• Experience building or rebuilding complex machinery or mechanical systems.
• 1–3 years in facilities and maintenance roles within high‑pace manufacturing or high‑precision production environments.
• Desire to perform hands‑on work for most of the day.
• Experience troubleshooting with manuals, internet resources, trial and error.

Aufgaben

• Maintain, prevent and correct failures of equipment including laser powder bed fusion printers, EDMs, CNC grinder, mill, lathe, etc.
• Support engineering, AM operations, and R&D with infrastructure upgrades, machine installations, and layout changes
• Identify areas of facility improvement for growth and issue‑free workplace
• Adapt to a modular work environment for facility changes to ensure production keeps moving forward
• Uphold a world‑class standard for facility cleanliness, organization, and preventative maintenance
• Conduct regular audits and self‑inspections for readiness for audits or inspections
• Troubleshoot equipment and facility issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring high reliability
• Collaborate with AM Technicians on equipment used in the printing process
• Maintain communication regarding facility adjustments that affect others
• Inspect equipment to maintain a safe working environment (forklift, crane)
• Vendor communication for basic facility tasks
