Job summary

Ursa Major in Colorado is seeking an Aerospace Senior Facilities Carpenter to construct, modify, and maintain offices, laboratories, manufacturing spaces, cleanrooms, and support facilities for rocket engine manufacturing and testing.

The role requires 5–8 years of commercial/industrial carpentry experience, OSHA/30 preferred, ability to read drawings, and a willingness to work on-site with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of commercial or industrial carpentry, facility construction, manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial construction methods, framing, drywall, and architectural systems.
• Experience using carpentry equipment and woodworking tools; read drawings and specs.
• Reading architectural drawings and shop drawings confidently.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently with a collaborative team and manage time effectively.
• Experience with rigging, equipment moves, installation, and lifting equipment safety.

Responsibilities

• Construct, modify, and maintain offices, laboratories, manufacturing spaces, cleanrooms, and support facilities.
• Install and modify framing, drywall, insulation, ceilings, panels, and architectural finishes.
• Install doors, windows, storefronts, overhead systems, and hardware.
• Design and install cabinetry, shelving, workstations, benches, and storage.
• Build equipment platforms, mezzanines, safety barriers, partitions, and foundations.
• Support equipment installations, anchoring, layout, rigging, and coordinating with engineers.
• Oversee contractors and trades; perform day-to-day facilities operations and maintenance.
• Maintain CMMS work orders, inspection reports, and asset documentation.
