Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, FL is seeking a senior operations leader to drive fabrication activities across chemical processing, coatings and cleaning. You will lead a team of technicians, shift leaders and managers to ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality production aligned with program schedules.

The role requires 5+ years of leadership in manufacturing or aerospace, with a track record of continuous improvement and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading teams in manufacturing/aerospace.
• Experience with surface coatings, chemical processing or precision cleaning is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, military, or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead technicians, shift leaders and managers in chemical processing, surface coatings, and precision cleaning.
• Optimize manufacturing operations for efficiency and quality.
• Develop and execute production plans to meet delivery schedules.
• Mentor teams and foster a collaborative, safe work environment.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality and supply chain to address challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance processes and metrics.
• Monitor performance and report to senior management, adjusting plans as needed.
• Ensure safety, regulatory, and company standards are met; manage budgets and resources.
• Support new product introductions and scale up production capabilities.
