Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in the United States is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Lead to guide a team of technicians, shift leaders and managers across chemical processing, surface coatings, and precision cleaning. This role focuses on optimizing production plans, driving operational excellence, and coordinating with engineering, quality, and supply chain to meet delivery schedules.

You will mentor teams, manage budgets, and scale up capabilities for new product introductions while upholding safety

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading teams in manufacturing or aerospace.
• 10+ years as individual contributor in related field.
• Experience with surface coatings, chemical processing and/or precision cleaning operations and requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, Military, or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead technicians, shift leaders and managers in chemical processing, coatings, and cleaning.
• Optimize manufacturing operations for efficiency and quality.
• Develop production plans to meet delivery schedules.
• Mentor teams, foster teamwork and openness, and share information to foster unity.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain to address manufacturing challenges and balance day-to-day with strategic planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and metrics.
• Monitor production performance and report to senior management with sound judgment and impact analysis.
• Ensure safety, regulatory, and company standards compliance with urgency and enthusiasm.
• Manage budget and resource allocation for manufacturing activities.
• Support new product introductions and scale up production capabilities.
• Evaluate inputs and criteria to make informed decisions with focus on quality.
