Job summary

Triumph Engine Control Systems in West Hartford, CT, seeks an Expeditor to support the Planning Group. You will review schedules, inventory reports and work orders to determine material type and quantities, expediting materials between purchasing, suppliers, receiving and production.

Responsibilities include reconciling discrepancies, providing material status at meetings, and escalating shortages. Requires 3–5 years expediting, associates degree, and strong Excel/JD Edwards experience.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience expediting background in a manufacturing environment.
• Associates’ Degree or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent math skills.
• JD Edwards Experience a plus.
• Must be experienced using MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain material and parts inventory to expedite movement according to production priorities.
• Read production schedules to determine type and quantity of materials required and stock availability.
• Confer with supervisors to determine overdue material and inform status.
• Record, maintain and conduct inventory transactions.
• Maintain records such as material inventory and production records.
• Coordinate with associates to expedite transfer of materials to production areas.
• May verify materials received and check for discrepancies or damages.
• May compare work ticket specs to material used to verify assignment.
