Capewell Aerial Systems in South Windsor, CT, seeks a Production Planner and Expeditor to coordinate movement of work, materials, and production documents to support daily and weekly schedules. You will serve as the central link between Sales, Production, and Purchasing, ensuring material availability, supplier commitments, and on-time delivery.

You will monitor MRP, backlog, and production status, address constraints, and work with teams to meet targets and customer commitments.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency with Visual ERP or similar ERP and MS Office.
• Working knowledge of MRP, production scheduling, inventory control, capacity constraints, and workflows.
• Ability to interpret bills of materials, routings, lead times, work orders, travelers, and related production docs.
• High sense of urgency; capable in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal, and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented; able to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Able to use data and reason to identify issues and solutions.
• Comfortable interacting with both production-floor and office teams.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 QMS requirements.

Aufgaben

• Monitor and maintain production schedules and priorities based on demand, capacity, and supplier delivery information.
• Act as a link between Sales, Production, and Purchasing; track material availability and constraints.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and suppliers to resolve shortages and expedite materials.
• Interact with production floors and support teams to resolve issues and meet daily requirements.
• Review MRP, inventory levels, open work orders, routings, lead times; release or reschedule orders as needed.
• Prepare production documents (work instructions, travelers) for timely release.
• Maintain backlog, WIP, and material availability visibility to identify risks.
• Update ERP with schedule changes and communicate to stakeholders.
• Assess feasibility of expedite requests and coordinate recovery actions.
• Escalate risks and recommend recovery actions.
• Participate in production meetings with clear status updates.
• Support inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies with Inventory Control.
