Job summary

Triumph Engine Control Systems in West Hartford, CT is seeking an Expeditor to join the Planning Group. The role reviews production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine materials needs and to expedite material movement between purchasing, suppliers, and production.

The incumbent will reconcile discrepancies, provide material status at production meetings, escalate shortages, and maintain inventory records.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience expediting background in a manufacturing environment.
• Associates’ Degree or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• JD Edwards Experience a plus.
• Must be experienced using MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Expedite movement of material and parts between purchasing, suppliers, receiving, and production areas; inform necessary parties of material status and rush overdue materials.
• Record, maintain and conduct inventory transactions.
• Coordinate with associates to expedite transfer of materials from stock area to production areas.
• Verify materials received and check for discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
• Compare work ticket specifications to material used at work stations to verify appropriate assignment.
