Job summary

Aerotek in Savannah, GA is seeking an Estimator to develop accurate cost quotes for aerospace components. You will review models and RFQs, calculate material and machining costs, and build detailed quotes using ERP/MRP systems and Excel.

This contract-to-hire role requires strong GD&T knowledge, CNC/machining experience, and precise data entry. You will collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing to optimize costs and ensure quotes reflect reality and market conditions.

Qualifications

Experience with CNC machining or aerospace engineering.
Strong GD&T and blueprint reading knowledge.
Solid math and analytical skills for cost calculations.
Proficiency with Excel for cost estimates.
Experience in estimation and bidding in manufacturing.
Attention to detail in data entry and documentation.

Responsibilities

Review RFQs and blueprints to understand requirements.
Interpret drawings using GD&T to determine processes and tolerances.
Calculate material costs for various alloys.
Estimate machining setups, tooling, fixturing for CNC operations.
Determine milling cycle times and machining hours.
Estimate tooling and outside processing requirements.
Build detailed quotes and cost breakdowns in ERP/MRP/spreadsheets.
Enter and verify estimation data in systems.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing to validate assumptions.
Apply math to optimize cost and process efficiency.
Maintain accuracy in estimates and documentation.
