Job summary

SpaceX seeks an Environmental Engineer, Compliance/Air to lead environmental programs at the Vandenberg site. You will work with the EHS lead, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide technical expertise on design reviews and operational plans to meet air and waste requirements.

The role requires 3+ years in environmental compliance in aerospace/industrial settings, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience operating environmental compliance programs in an industrial/aerospace, DoD, or manufacturing setting.
• Experience developing and maintaining environmental programs and regulatory filings.
• Experience with data interpretation and communicating technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve environmental programs at SpaceX’s Vandenberg, CA location.
• Maintain compliance with EPA, RCRA, DOT, CUPA, RWQCB, SBCAPCD, and other regulations.
• Prepare and submit Tier II and TRI filings; archive calculations and submissions.
• Maintain HMMP/HMBP, CUPA inventories, and Tier II inputs.
• Coordinate contractors for permitting and environmental testing; review reports.
