Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Kennedy Space Center, FL is seeking an Engineering Technician at Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team. The role focuses on fabrication, assembly, testing and acceptance of flight hardware, with responsibilities across electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.

You will read schematics and drawings, install components, test systems, and ensure safety, quality, and timely completion of work. The position offers a 4/10 schedule with potential overtime and rotating shifts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with related experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to varying tasks.
  • Proficient with manual tools, torque wrenches, power tools and testing equipment.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Stand and lift up to 50 lbs in a manufacturing setting.
  • Able to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime.
  • Able to operate heavy equipment as required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Mix, apply and bond coatings and adhesives.
  • Read and understand engineering drawings, schematics and specifications.
  • Install and test electronic components, boxes, cables, and systems.
  • Disassemble, inspect and install mechanical hardware.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, manlifts, tugs.
  • Use manual, torque, pneumatic and power tools.
  • Follow computer-based work instructions and stay organized.
  • Share knowledge with team members and pursue safety, quality and schedule goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
