Job summary

Airbus in Wichita, Kansas is seeking an Engineering Project Lead to guide complex design and certification activities for global aircraft programs. You will lead engineering teams, coordinate with Heads of Engineering and Skills, and ensure on-time, on-cost delivery of technical documentation and project milestones.

The role requires deep engineering knowledge, 13+ years in airframe structures or installations, and strong proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with emphasis on structural design and analysis.
• 13+ years total experience in engineering with airframe structures or installations.
• Deep knowledge of engineering principles, documentation, techniques and procedures.
• Strong computer background including MS Office and Google Suite.
• Authorized to Work in the US.
• Working knowledge of Airbus Structures.

Responsibilities

• Support development of resource planning and budget alignment for the annual operating plan.
• Accountable for developing project budgets, securing workload and targets, and communicating performance attributes to management.
• Establish project requirements and commitments for self and global teams, including internal and external partners.
• Determine and pursue actions to obtain desired results.
• Facilitate Design Reviews with Chief Engineering and Technical Representatives to support milestones.
• Develop, report and analyze KPIs for internal and external customers.
