Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Hampton, VA is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Intern to join our team for hands-on experience in process control and manufacturing improvements. You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to drive quality, delivery, and efficiency improvements at the Hampton location.

Eligible students are enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, with preference for Materials Science, Metallurgical, Ceramic, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering majors.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program from an accredited institution.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Preferred: majors in Materials Science & Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering; Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing knowledge a plus.

• Support plant location team to achieve manufacturing excellence and drive efficiency.
