Job summary

Howmet Aerospace invites Manufacturing Engineer Interns to join multiple Whitehall, MI plant locations for a 10–14 week summer program. Interns will support on-site engineering with layout reconstruction, 5S initiatives and standardized work development, gaining hands-on experience across campus.

The program includes tours, seminars, networking events, and project presentations to plant leadership, with a path to fulltime entry opportunities based on performance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework by May 2027.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering with plant floor layout reconstruction, 5S projects and standardized work development.
• Present project outcomes to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors at the program's conclusion.
