Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated is seeking an Engineering Intern to gain real-world experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment. The role involves assisting in quotes, drawings, and specification review, while supporting Project and Manufacturing Engineering teams.

You will work with CAD/3D tools including CATIA, use Excel for data tasks, and learn through collaboration with engineers, operators, and other functional teams to improve processes and product quality.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering with aerospace/mechanical focus.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical data, blueprints, specifications.
• Strong communication skills for presenting information to peers and management.
• A solid grasp of mathematics and statistical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering teams in quotes, drawings, and specifications to meet customer requirements.
• Support project/design engineers and operations with quotation implementation.
• Collaborate with IPT members across Engineering, Quality, Contracts, Finance and Supply Chain.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and work instructions, and optimize processes.
