Job summary

First Class Air Support LLC is seeking an Engineer to design, develop, and analyze products for aircraft evacuation systems in Sunrise, FL. The role blends hands-on work with technical documentation and cross-functional coordination to ensure FAA and industry standards compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, and strong CAD skills (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years engineering experience; aviation experience preferred.
• Proficiency with CAD and design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
• Strong written and verbal communication; teamwork and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop prototypes, material specifications, and production tooling.
• Perform hands-on work and collaborate with factory staff to support production needs.
• Create test plans, conduct tests, and prepare reports to demonstrate compliance with PMA/TSO/DER.
• Prepare design documentation including detail and assembly drawings, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
• Source components and materials from vendors to support product development.
• Write operating manuals, owner’s manuals, and product labeling.
• Provide technical support to sales and customers.
• Create sketches to illustrate materials, assembly sequences, or design concepts.
• Utilize CAD and MS Office to plan, organize, and maintain records.
• Promote a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Work irregular schedules as required to support projects.
• Participate in decisions related to productivity, quality, safety, maintenance, processes, and systems.
