Job summary

Technology Service Corporation (TSC) seeks an Aerospace Engineer to support work at the Naval Research Laboratory. The role focuses on conducting advanced fluid dynamics simulations to characterize aerodynamic loads and aerothermal environments across a wide range of flight regimes.

You will apply CFD tools and trajectory modeling to integrate aerodynamic predictions into 6-DOF models. The position requires U.S.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
  • Preferred 2 years of experience in aerospace engineering involving aerodynamic or aerothermal analysis.
  • Working knowledge of CFD tools such as Star-CCM, CBAero, Cart3D, and TAOS.
  • Experience developing and applying trajectory modeling tools and integrating aerodynamic predictions into 6-DOF models.
  • Proficiency with CAD software, such as Siemens NX Design or SolidWorks.
  • Strong proficiency with data analysis tools such as MATLAB.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced fluid dynamics simulations to characterize aerodynamic loads and aerothermal environments across flight regimes.
  • Apply CFD and trajectory modeling to support Navy mission goals and design optimization.
  • Integrate aerodynamic predictions into 6-DOF models for trajectory analysis and decision-making.
