Job summary

Technology Service Corporation (TSC) is seeking a Mid-Level Thermal Engineer to develop analytical thermal models for aerospace applications, supporting critical missions at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, proficiency with thermal analysis software, and strong analytical skills. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits, including flexible work schedules and equity participation.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in thermal and aerothermal design.
• Strong understanding of heat transfer principles and system-level integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytical thermal models for aerospace systems.
• Perform detailed thermal and aerothermal analyses.
• Validate analytical models through test data.

Skills

Thermal analysis software packages (TRASYS, SINDA/Fluint, Thermal Desktop)

FORTRAN and Python for scripting

STAR‑CCM+, HEEDS, Cart3D knowledge

Understanding of thermal modeling techniques

Experience with CFD for aerothermal prediction
