RTX in Middletown, CT is seeking an experienced aerospace mechanic on 2nd shift to assemble engine parts and subassemblies, following drawings, specifications and shop procedures.

Responsibilities include overhaul work, measuring components, using hand tools and fixtures, and supporting test operations on gas turbine engines.

Qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent with A&P license or 5+ years heavy automotive experience; aerospace or avionics experience preferred.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or Equivalent & formal training with A&P license or 5+ years heavy automotive experience.
• A&P license or equivalent is required or provided via formal training.

Mansioni

• Follow assembly drawings/specifications to prepare parts and build subassemblies for gas turbine engines.
• Perform engine overhaul work, check details for conformance to specs, and fit components within tolerances.
• Use hand tools, fixtures, and specialized equipment to build engine sections and maintain tooling.
• Provide test operation support and assist with engine programs and retrofit projects.
