RTX is hiring for a mechanical/assembly role focused on gas turbine engines at our Middletown, CT site. You will follow drawings and specs to assemble parts, build subassemblies and assist with tests under supervision.

Ideal candidates bring an A&P license or equivalent training, plus 4+ years in heavy automotive or aerospace mechanics. Preference for internal candidates per bargaining agreements, with benefits and onsite requirements.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with formal A&P training or equivalent.
• On-the-job training may be acceptable with relevant certifications.

Mansioni

• Follow assembly drawings and specifications to prepare parts and build subassemblies for new gas turbine engines.
• Overhaul engines, modules and related components using approved procedures.
• Check parts for conformance and measure components to ensure correct dimensions.
• Use hand tools, fixtures and equipment to assemble engine sections and maintain tooling.
• Support test operations and assist with testing schedules under supervision.
• Assist with retrofit projects and changes in specifications for new engine programs.
