Job summary

ASD in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Cable and Harness Technician to join the Harness Manufacturing department on the Gilbert Campus. This is a on-site, second shift position with hours 3:00pm – 12:30am on a 9/80 schedule; the role focuses on manufacturing cable and harness products and contributing to reliable, high-quality assemblies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 5+ years of related experience in assembly, electronics, manufacturing, production or logistics.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical assembly and wiring.
• Must be capable of certification to IPC WHMA-A-620 and NASA-J-STD.
• Experience reading drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Exceptional mechanical/electrical aptitude; ESD and crimping experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Cable and Harness Technician to support our Gilbert Manufacturing Center. This position will serve on-site at our Gilbert, AZ Campus. This is a 2nd Shift Position. Working Hours are 3:00pm – 12:30am on a 9/80 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture cable / harness products.
• Reads and interprets Work Instructions, schematics, wirelists, and drawings.
• Ensures quality of the hardware is maintained and company procedures are followed.
• Ensures work is done with completeness, accuracy, adherence to operation sheets, ISO procedures, schedules, and assign tasks.
• Provides regular communication to shop leads and Work Center management on status and technical issues.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus a minimum of 5 additional years of education and/or relevant experience in assembly, electronics, manufacturing, production or logistics.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical assembly and wiring.
• Must be capable of successfully completing certification to IPC WHMA-A-620 (Cable and Wire Harness Assembly) and NASA-J-STD.
• Experience reading drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Exceptional mechanical/electrical aptitude.
• ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) and Crimping Experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate from Technical Trade School
• Current certification to IPC WHMA-A-620, NASA-J-STD; or other certifications in electronics assembly and workmanship.
• Experience with MES applications including workflow, signoff and documentation.
