Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Cable & Wire Harness Technician 1/2 – First Shift to fabricate and assemble complex space flight cable and harness assemblies from drawings and schematics. Work involves soldering, ESD compliance, and lab procedures in a controlled environment.

The role requires 0–2 years of related experience, ability to obtain a DoD clearance, and collaboration with engineers, writers, QA, and planners to maintain schedules and quality for the Tactical Space Systems

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of soldering, cable and harness assembly experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and process documentation.
• No heavy lifting required; ability to stand and sit with occasional reaching.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble cable and harness assemblies according to drawings and schematics.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Technical Writers, QA Representatives, and Production Planners.
• Maintain problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with limited supervision.
• Apply proper ESD, FOD, and 5S practices.
• Support production schedules and quality standards for the Tactical Space Systems Division.
• Perform daily tasks in a clean environment with accuracy and compliance.
