Job summary

Chromalloy Corporation is seeking an Electronic Technician for 2nd shift to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and control systems in our Tampa plant. You’ll work with automation, robotics, and PLC-based equipment to maximize uptime and reliability in a high‑stakes aerospace environment.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations while following safety policies and contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical, electronic, and control systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and ladder logic.
• Working knowledge of 24V DC to 480V AC systems.
• Experience troubleshooting PID loops, sensors, relays, and process control systems.
• Experience with SAP or CMMS systems.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Strong safety mindset and emphasis on uptime.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, automation, and control systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis.
• Support PLC-based systems and conduct I/O diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot robotics, servo systems, PID loops, sensors, relays, instrumentation, and process controls.
• Install, modify, and validate electrical wiring and control components.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment and controls.
• Maintain maintenance records in SAP/CMMS.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, vendors, and contractors.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to staff.
• Identify and address safety, compliance, and equipment risks.
