Job summary

CesiumAstro seeks an experienced Lab Manager to lead our electronics lab in supporting space and defense products. You will oversee assembly, rework, and testing of complex circuit boards and harnesses, while guiding engineers and technicians in a fast-paced startup environment.

Lead the lab, manage calibration, procurement, and safety programs, and mentor junior staff to ensure high-quality, compliant lab operations for cutting-edge aerospace hardware.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years as an electronics lab technician.
• Strong circuit board assembly & rework with fine-pitched SMT.
• Experience designing and building wire harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, rework, and test complex circuit boards in an engineering lab environment.
• Manage the engineering lab, equipment calibration, and consumables.
• Mentor technicians, conduct lab training (ESD, safety, organization).
