Job summary

Sapsol is seeking an experienced Electronic Design Engineer for a 12-month contract in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on hardware design for advanced military aircraft, including PCB layout in Altium, SPICE analyses, and FPGA/CPLD RTL development in Verilog/VHDL, with C code for hardware bring-up.

Candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card holders with security clearance eligibility. You will work with cross-functional defense teams to ensure DO-254 compliance and MIL-STD adherence, perform

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of hardware design experience in aerospace/defense or high-reliability industries.
• Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout with Altium Designer.
• Experience with SPICE-based circuit simulation and signal integrity analysis.
• Strong FPGA/CPLD design in Verilog or VHDL and low-level C for hardware bring-up.
• Familiarity with DO-254, MIL-STD-810/704/461 and other aerospace standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, simulation, and testing of complex analog/digital hardware for aerospace systems.
• Capture schematics and lay out multi-layer boards using Altium Designer.
• Develop FPGA/CPLD RTL, perform timing closure, and verify with simulations.
• Write C code for hardware bring-up and driver testing on embedded platforms.
• Ensure compliance with DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD-810/704/461 and DO-254 artifacts.
• Collaborate with systems engineers and defense teams in Fort Worth, TX.
• Support environmental qualification, EMI/EMC tests, and hardware bring-up activities.
