Applied Technical Services, LLC seeks an FPGA Design Engineer to develop and verify FPGA-based systems for aerospace, defense, and advanced electronics. You will work under senior engineers to design, simulate, verify, and integrate hardware with embedded processors and high-speed interfaces.

This role offers hands-on experience with modern FPGA technologies and high-reliability electronics, in a Colorado Springs setting. Early-career engineers growth is encouraged with opportunities to advance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years FPGA design experience with VHDL/Verilog.
• Experience with FPGA toolchains (AMD/Xilinx, Microchip, Intel).
• Experience in digital design, timing closure and verification.

Responsibilities

• Develop FPGA designs using VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog.
• Create testbenches, verification plans, and simulations.
• Perform timing analysis and resource optimization.
• Interface with embedded processors and high-speed links.
• Support lab validation and board bring-up, debugging.
