Job summary

Power Device Corporation is seeking a hardware engineer to design, develop, and support digital electronic hardware for aerospace and defense products at our Poway, CA facility. The role focuses on schematics, PCB layout, processor/FPGA circuits, and verification to meet performance and reliability goals.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering and 3+ years of hardware or digital design experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant hardware or digital design experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop hardware designs that meet product performance, reliability, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Create schematics, design documentation, interface definitions, and engineering analyses.
• Work with PCB designers to define placement, routing, stack-up, impedance, and other layout requirements.
• Perform board bring-up, integration, troubleshooting, and verification.
• Evaluate components and technologies for new and existing designs.
• Investigate hardware defects and support root-cause and corrective-action activities.
• Participate in peer reviews and cross-functional engineering activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve design, test, and development processes.
