Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Test Electrical Engineer to design and validate automated test systems for aerospace hardware and avionics. You will own test procedures, instrument integration, and data analysis to ensure DO-160 and MIL-STD compliance across products.

Ideal candidates have hands-on LabVIEW and TestStand experience, a strong electrical fundamentals, and the ability to collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing teams in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with automated test systems using NI TestStand and LabVIEW.
• Strong electrical/electronics fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with test equipment like oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, data acquisition hardware.
• Experience in aerospace/defense or high-reliability environments.
• Familiarity with DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, AS9100 standards.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test systems and procedures for aerospace hardware using NI TestStand and LabVIEW.
• Plan and execute unit, subsystem, and system-level qualification and environmental testing.
• Build custom test fixtures and interface hardware for automated and manual testing.
• Write and debug LabVIEW modules and TestStand sequences, including drivers and data routines.
• Operate and integrate test equipment into automated stations and analyze test data for root causes.
• Support first article, qualification, and production acceptance testing per aerospace standards.
• Prepare test reports and documentation for internal and customer reviews.
